From The Altar

The word redemption means ‘buying back’. It means deliverance from sins and freedom from captivity. When the Lord redeems anyone from sin, He also separates such a person to Himself, makes him stand for the truth and gives him power over sin, evil and the evil ones. Therefore, those who have been redeemed are to awake to righteousness and sin not. At redemption, Christ breaks the yoke of sin, destroys the work of the devil and sets us totally free from the law of sin and death, as a result there is no condemnation in our hearts( Romans 8:1) . This is the redemption that frees us from slavery of sin, Satan and sickness.

Those who are still in sin therefore are not children of God, they are still in slavery.
Christ is not in captivity to any besetting sin, no child of God should be
in bondage to any sin (1 John 3:8)

Whenever the Lord saves His people from bondage, He states the purpose:
1. To serve the Lord with all our hearts and mind
2. To shine forth His glory in all we do
3. To seek the lost
4. To stand for His truth
5. To spread the gospel
6. To save the sinners
7. To submit to God’s rules and authority.
Christ delivers us so that we can be completely restored to Him .
Redemption makes us new creations in Christ Jesus with a clean slate
and a new future. Our services should be rendered with a new attitude,
a new mind and in righteousness. The Lord will help us in Jesus
mighty name (Amen) “Shalom!
